「釘抜き」と呼ばれるこの柄は、すべての模様が連続して繋がり合い、仲間意識を表現した伝統的なデザインです。
江戸時代の町火消の袢天や男物の浴衣にも用いられ、□の形が釘抜きを象徴していることからこの名が付けられました。

生地には、普段浴衣に使用される綿ちりめん糸に強い撚りをかけ、独特のシボ（凹凸）を生み出しており、手触りのシャリ感もお楽しみいただけます。

【Cotton Chirimen “Kuginuki”】

The “Kuginuki” (Nail Puller) pattern features a traditional design where all the motifs are continuously connected, symbolizing a sense of unity and camaraderie. It was commonly used in Edo-period firefighters’ coats (hanten) and men’s yukata, with the square shapes representing nail pullers, hence the name.

The fabric is crafted from tightly twisted cotton chirimen yarn, typically used for yukata, creating a distinctive textured surface (shibo) that offers a crisp, refreshing feel to the touch.
