日本の伝統的な染色技法、注染を駆使して、京都市右京区の高山寺に伝わる国宝『鳥獣人物戯画』を現代風にアレンジ。
この絵巻物は、日本が世界に誇る「マンガ文化」の元祖とも称され、その名作をモチーフに、日本文化を発信する雑誌『和樂』と共同で“現代版鳥獣戯画”を生み出しました。
細部に目を向けると、うさぎや猿、カエルなどの動物たちが茶の湯を楽しむ姿が描かれています。

The "Bird and Beast Caricature Tea Ceremony" is a masterpiece from the Rien-zome brand, inspired by the world of Kabuki. Crafted using the traditional Japanese nassen dyeing technique, it reinterprets the National Treasure "Bird and Beast Caricature" scroll from Takayama Temple in Kyoto's Ukyo Ward. This ancient scroll is often considered the progenitor of Japan's globally acclaimed "manga culture". In collaboration with the Japanese culture magazine "Wagaku", a modern rendition of this classic has been created. Upon closer inspection, familiar animals like rabbits, monkeys, and frogs are depicted enjoying a traditional tea ceremony.
